Evidence-Based Solutions to fight Wicked Problems
THE PROBLEM

As many as 35,000 African elephants are slaughtered yearly to feed the demand for their ivory tusks. In the last decade alone, 10,000 rhinos have been lost to poaching.
Rangers are the frontline of defence against poaching syndicates. The hands represent the lives of the rangers that died protecting these species.
People are losing their lives protecting these animals, families are being displaced and there is a massive human toll woven into this bloody trade driving some of the most magnificent creatures on earth to extinction.
Over 1000 rangers have been killed in the line of duty in the past decade alone, that number rising annually.
